 Myth #1: Cold Brew Is Just Iced Coffee

Nope. Cold brew is brewed cold, not brewed hot and then poured over ice. That means the coffee grounds steep in cold water for 12 to 24 hours, extracting fewer bitter compounds and more natural sweetness. The result? A smooth, low-acid cup with a chocolatey body.

Think of it this way: iced coffee is a shortcut. Cold brew is a craft.


Myth #2: Cold Brew Has More Caffeine Than Espresso

Not always. Cold brew is often brewed as a concentrate, which can have more caffeine per ounce. But when it's diluted to drinkable strength, the caffeine content is similar to or even lower than a cup of hot coffee. Espresso still wins the caffeine-per-ounce battle.
